**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by holding animals and providing necessary support.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, including collecting samples for testing and assisting with laboratory equipment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care, reporting any changes to the veterinary staff.
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians, including injections and oral medications.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and treatments.
- Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering supplies when necessary.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in veterinary technology or animal care is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately, even in stressful situations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week
