Bloomberg News is seeking an equities reporter to provide deep, real-time news and analysis on the Canadian and U.S. stock markets. We're looking for a curious and hungry journalist who will dig out exclusive information on what's moving stocks and why. The role involves writing fast, concise reports on markets and individual stocks - particularly the most liquid names, such as banks - and unearthing insights from traders, portfolio managers and analysts to deliver the news and information clients crave.

**WE WILL TRUST YOU TO**:

- Build a deep base of sources across the equities landscape
- Understand the pulse of what's driving the market's most interesting moves each day
- Collaborate closely with colleagues on the Equities team globally
- Develop a strong grasp of Canada's biggest and most traded stocks, particularly banks
- Break news and write insightful stories analyzing market trends on deadline
- Produce and promote content across all our platforms - from the terminal to video and magazines

**YOU WILL NEED**:

- Experience in financial news and business reporting and a strong interest in both
- Proven knowledge that includes a strong understanding of the Canadian market
- Existing equity-market contacts
- Solid news judgment and ability to report with speed and accuracy
