We are hiring **Set Up Technician **for one of our clients in **Orangeville.**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Operate as a working Supervisor, being able to undertake the functions of all operators in HDPE Extrusion.
- Supervises all operators and functions in the department
- In all aspects of this position, the supervisor must be guided by laws and regulations generated by legislation, company policies and procedures and in-house rules, and act accordingly in Health and Safety matters.
- Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve delivery, safety, quality, yield, and efficiency.
- In conjunction with the HDPE Scheduler schedules production
- Ensure the correct completion of all production records
- Ensure the products produced meet order specifications and quality specifications
- Ensure the correct completion of all quality system records
- Must be able to troubleshoot machines and recognize when maintenance work is needed
- Responsible for the training and development of area employees.
- Responsible for plant housekeeping
- Responsible for employee attendance and disciplinary actions and daily timekeeping for payroll interface
- Responsible for raw materials inventory control
- Holds monthly team meetings for the purpose of discussion and training in areas of safety, productivity, human resources, cost, reductions, and quality.
- Selects, trains, develops, retains, recognizes, & manages operators, including annual operator certifications.
- Responsible for daily manufacturing operations of lines or shifts to ensure the manufacturing plan is executed in a manner that meets or exceeds quality & cost objectives.
- Ensures the HDPE Extrusion Department is following all internal & external standards & legislation.
- Responsible to respond to safety issues, worker concerns, JHSC inspections, Hazard Identification meetings, risk assessment and quality audits.
- Contributes to sustainability initiatives including energy conservation, recycling, and wastewater reclamation.
- Manages and preserves the value of inventory and participates in monthly inventory counts.

**Rate of Pay**

$18.24 - $23.40 per hour - depending on knowledge, skills, and abilities

**Shifts**
- 12 hr continental day/night shift, with a 4-week turnaround
- Averaging agreements in place

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Orangeville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Machine Operator: 1 year (preferred)
