**As a Pet Groomer at Schomberg Veterinary Services, you will be vital in ensuring our clients' pets' well-being and grooming needs. Your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Performing grooming services, such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and nail trimming, according to client specifications and breed standards.**
**- Handling pets with care and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout grooming.**
**- Assess pets' coat and skin condition and recommend appropriate grooming services.**
**- Communicating effectively with pet owners to understand their preferences and address specific grooming requests.**
**- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the grooming area, equipment, and tools.**
**- Keeping detailed grooming records for each pet, including health concerns and specific grooming instructions.**
**- Adhering to clinic policies and procedures for animal care, safety, and customer service.**
**- Collaborating with veterinary staff to address any health or behaviour concerns related to grooming.**

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.**
**- Formal training or certification in pet grooming is preferred.**
**- Proven experience as a pet groomer with the ability to handle and groom various animals.**
**- Knowledge of grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and pet behaviour.**
**- Excellent communication and customer service skills.**
**- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes.**
**- Strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring the well-being of pets.**
