**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and present food items according to restaurant standards
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for order processing and payments
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing their needs
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Assist with food handling and ensure adherence to food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience for customers
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to meet service expectations
**Skills**
- Proven experience in food preparation and food service within a restaurant setting
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Previous kitchen experience is a must, along with an ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while providing recommendations
