**YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE**:

- Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping;
- Select appropriate machines and enter numerical parameters;
- Load materials necessary for the manufacture of the parts;
- Determine and program batch size, machine speed, etc.;
- Monitor machine while working to adjust feed, maintain temperature and identify problems;
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and eliminate defects;
- Maintain records of approved and defective units or end products;
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damage;
- Guarantor of the quality of the finished products of his/her department;
- Ensures parts consistency with the design;
- Other related tasks.

**REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE**:

- DEP in machining or equivalent;
- Experience as a machinist;
- Experience with press brake;
- Experience in the use and / or programming of manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders, etc.);
- Ability to use precision tools (callipers, compasses etc.) to take precise measurements;
- Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials (an asset);
- Ability to read and understand plans, diagrams and manuals;
- Good at math with analytical abilities.

**SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**:

- Reliability, being trustworthy, dependable and responsible for one's obligations;
- Thoroughness, being able to diagnose anomalies and how to remedy them;
- Good manual dexterity, and must be able to use precision tools.
