**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Embrace and lead change;
- Ensure communication of industry trends and company & department objectives & information with your team;
- Mobilise your team towards common goals with clear expectation and objectives to attain results;
- Foster a team environment of innovation, team work, respect and performance;
- Organize regular team meetings;
- Meet team members individually on a regular basis for coaching, growth, objectives and performance;
- Divide and coordinate work amongst your team;
- Ensure selection, on-boarding and training of your new team members;
- Establish, choose, define and evaluate strategic goals by gathering and keeping up-to-date with GIS, analytics and retail advertising best practices, new technology, trends, opportunities, competition, etc ;
- Further the knowledge, expertise and skills of your team in retail driven GIS and Analytics;
- Work in close collaboration with sales, account management and product teams;
- Act as GIS & Analytics SME & Center of Expertise for presales, RFPs, SOWs and SLAs.
- Prepare and forecast annual budget and expenditures;
- Help in the creation & implementation of targeting models and in identifying geo-demographic patterns and forecasting;
- Establish guidelines to ensure database and geographic boundary file integrity.
**DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- College or University degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related discipline;
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in business oriented GIS;
- 3 - 5 years of relevant management experience in business oriented GIS;
- General knowledge in printed and digital ad and media distribution
- Extensive experience with various geographic, demographic and marketing data and analytics sources (Stats Can, Canada Post, Environics, PMB, Household Spend, etc.);
- Superior analytics and analytical skills;
- Working knowledge of Access, ArcGIS and Excel;
- Understanding of Data Science and Analytics (Tools and Concepts)
- Familiar with accounting procedures
- Experience with Digital and Web mapping products (strong asset);
- Must be available to travel within GTA and Montreal area 10% of the time (at most).
