Job description
**Specific Responsibilities**:
Ensuring that program and course curricula are current, relevant and reflective of best practices within the relevant professional/program disciplines,.
Evaluating and developing learning outcomes for courses and programs.
Developing appropriate strategies and tools to assess student performance that are consistent with the learning outcomes
Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment which supports the diversity of students’ cultures, educational backgrounds, and learning styles
Developing alternative delivery strategies, online course development, and teaching as required
Developing multi-media materials and alternative delivery strategies, and incorporating appropriate educational technologies into the learning process.
Provide individual tutoring and academic counselling; and evaluate student progress within assigned courses.
Courses offered Monday/Tuesday 2:45- 7:00 pm & Thursday/Friday 8:00 am - 2:15 pm
**Qualifications**:
M.Ed or PhD in a related field, in addition to Early Childhood Education qualifications.
Minimum of five (5) years’ increasingly progressive experience within the field of early education and family support.
Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
Current Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators is required
Experience and working knowledge with curriculum development and model in early learning is preferred
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Comfortable developing and delivery courses using online learning platforms
