**Rate of Pay**: $30.35 per hour

**The start date will follow the selection process.**

**Characteristic Duties**: Under the supervision of a Foreperson.
- Operate various units of CGS equipment.
- Operate equipment such as Tandem Truck, Sweeper, Flusher, Municipal Tractor and attachments, Loader, etc.
- Load and unload truck by hand or mechanical devices.
- Transport personnel, materials, supplies, equipment and refuse.
- Oversee small work crew in the performance of routine duties.
- Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS's Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
- Perform other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade XII) Education.
- No sectional experience necessary.
- Proven ability to operate equipment such as Tandem Truck, Sweeper, Flusher, Municipal Tractor and attachments, Loader, etc.
- Shift work is required.
- Proven ability to operate various units of CGS equipment.
- Prepare work reports when required.
- Must be able to read and follow manufacturers Routine Maintenance Instructions.
- Must be able to read and understand equipment manuals.
- Must have some mechanical knowledge to avoid damage to the equipment.
- Must be able to operate and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Must be able to operate all equipment attachments.
- Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.
- Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history.
- May require the use of a CGS vehicle on CGS business. Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid Class “DZ” driver's licence and have an acceptable driving record.
