Pastoral/Liturgical Assistant
St Patrick’s Church and the Demazenod Door in Hamilton is looking for a Pastoral/Liturgical Assistant for 32 hours per week, including Saturday and Sunday. Reporting to the Parish Priest, this position offers a competitive rate of pay and requires a commitment to work flexible hours.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with bulk mailings as required.
- Maintain accurate records of phone calls and communications.
- Provide administrative support for internal and church-wide communications, including preparing the Sunday bulletin, monthly calendar, and prayer sheets.
- Assist in creating and printing documentation for church sacraments and ceremonies (e.g., baptisms, weddings, funerals, and church membership).
- Help plan and implement events for Children’s Liturgy, Feast Days, Special Occasions, and Catechism Classes (evening or Saturday sessions).
- Support pastors in scheduling meetings, events, and coordinating special projects.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Office Manager, Priest, or Team Leader.

**Qualifications & Skills**:
Practicing Catholic, knowledgeable about Catholic Social teaching.
College/University Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certificate in Religious Studies and/or Office Administration
A deep love for Jesus Christ and a strong Christian character.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive church information.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parish members.
High level of organization, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic church environment.
