- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
Week 2: Sunday (1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.), Monday and Tuesday (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

**General Summary**:
The Cook's primary responsibility is to prepare quality and varied food at Holy Name of Mary Convent in accordance with established menus, recipes, and sanitary standards. (This might include extra food preparations for Jubilees, funerals, and Wigilia). This position ensures compliance with federal, provincial, and local food service standards and the organization's policies and procedures.
- Plans a rotating menu in consultation with the local minister or designate.
- Prepares the main meal at lunchtime adhering to all dietary procedures and sanitary regulations. Prepares a light supper that can be heated up by the sister responsible for that meal.
- Prepares meals for sisters with special dietary needs as identified by the supervisor. Prepares substitute meals for sisters who prefer other foods.

**Education and Experience**:

- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in an institutional food service environment.
- Some experience in an Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, hospital, or other health care environment is preferred.
- Certification preferred in food and nutrition management.
