Job Title: Server with Sommelier Experience

**Job Description**:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable server with sommelier expertise to join our team at our prestigious steakhouse. As a Server with Sommelier Experience, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable dining experience by offering impeccable service and expert wine recommendations to complement their meals.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Wine Service: Offer wine suggestions and pairings to guests based on their preferences and the dishes they choose. Ensure the proper storage and presentation of wine throughout service.

2. Food Service: Take orders, deliver food to tables, and provide an exceptional dining experience to all guests. Be knowledgeable about the steakhouse menu to answer any questions and make recommendations.

3. Wine Inventory Management: Assist in managing the wine inventory, including ordering new stock and tracking current inventory levels. Collaborate with the management team to curate a diverse and excellent wine selection.

4. Guest Relations: Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.

5. Upselling and Promotions: Recommend premium wine selections and promote wine-related events or promotions to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue.

6. Table Maintenance: Ensure tables are set correctly and maintained throughout service, including replacing glassware and utensils as needed.

7. Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with other servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest service.

**Requirements**:
1. Previous Experience: Proven experience as a server in a high-end restaurant setting is required. Additionally, formal sommelier training and experience in wine service is essential.

2. Wine Knowledge: Deep understanding of wines, including various regions, grape varieties, vintages, and pairings with different types of cuisine.

3. Exceptional Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering outstanding service to create a positive and memorable dining experience.

4. Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with guests, colleagues, and management.

5. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the restaurant team to ensure a cohesive and efficient service.

6. Physical Endurance: The role involves extended periods of standing and carrying trays, so physical fitness and stamina are necessary.

7. Wine Certifications: Holding a sommelier certification (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers or similar) is highly desirable.
