Tile Setter

The Floor/Tile Setter is responsible for floor and Terrazzo repair as well as tile setting projects within West Edmonton Mall.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered.
- Terrazzo repair, prepping and filling cracks and gaps with the proper materials
- Cutting tiles using power cutting tools as required.
- Packing grout into joints between tiles.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
- Ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes and West Edmonton Mall building requirements.
- Ensure compliance will all Occupational Health and Safety legislation guidelines, standards, policies and procedures.
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Previous experience with floor repair and tile setting.
- Experience with Terrazzo is a definite asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Good knowledge and use of the various tools that are used in the trade
- Ability to be on your knees for extended periods of time due to the nature of the work
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a full-time position required Monday through Friday.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $32.00-$32.50 per hour
