Bartender

We are looking for a professional, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.

To succeed as a bartender, you should have a neat appearance and engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
- Greet customers in a happy, upbeat manner as they come through the front doors, and set the scene for them to have a good time.
- Suggest new drinks to patrons and answer questions about any of the drinks we serve so our customers get just what they want during a visit to our store.
- Check customer identification to verify age and guarantee they are of legal drinking age to protect the bar from legal action and ensure safe drinking.
- Serve and prepare non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks by following standard recipes, or take custom orders from patrons to make their drinks how they prefer.
- Respond quickly to any requests from customers in a professional, polite way that encourages them to open up and spend more time at our location.
- Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting the timing of meal progression.
- Serves orders by picking up and delivering customers' choices from bar and kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
- Guarantee that the bar, glasses and any materials used to mix drinks are clean and displayed in an attractive, functional manner.
- Know and comply with all covid, safety, health and hygiene policies and standards set by our company and also by the state.
- Monitor, order and restock bar inventory to keep operations flowing smoothly.
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.

Job Skills & Requirements

Required:

- Smart Serve Certification
- Must be at least 18 years old with proper identification
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to bend and reach frequently

Preferred:

- Experience or courses mixing drinks
- Cash handling skills and experience
- Good customer service and communication skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
