Junior Admissions Counsellor

Position Summary*
Help achieve overall undergraduate enrolment goals by supporting undergraduate admissions counsellors through calling and counselling prospective students over the phone. Junior Counsellor’s will provide information to prospective students about Trinity Western, talk about their personal experience at the university and guide prospective students towards the next step in the admissions process.

Duties & Responsibilities*
- **Tele-counselling**:
- Attend regular calling shifts, 8-10 hours a week, scheduled between 1:30pm & 9pm, Monday - Friday or 10am - 4 pm Saturday. Shifts will be determined at the start of the semester with the Visit Experience Coordinator
- Meet calling goals and objectives while working independently.
- Work through assigned calling lists, connecting with prospective students and providing information about TWU programs, experiences, admissions processes, and inviting them to campus events.
- Provide timely feedback to the Admissions Counselors about their students, and the information you have provided to them.
- **Data Entry**:
- Provide data entry support to the Admissions Team
- Enter correct prospective student data into the Aqueduct student system.
- Maintain confidentially about student information, and follow information security procedures.
- **Training**:
- Attend training sessions as scheduled with the Associate Director of Operations and Senior Admissions Counsellor

Job Standards & Requirements*
**Experience**:
- 2 years of post-secondary experience at TWU preferred (students with less will be considered on a case by case basis).
**Skills/Abilities**:
- Tele-counsellors need to have excellent oral and written communication skills, be responsible and reliable, be able to take initiative in problem solving, and be friendly and personable over the telephone. Applicants must possess a strong work ethic, and be detail oriented. The position requires an individual who has a high level of energy, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a commitment to teamwork.
