Totally Tutors is currently seeking teachers certified by the Ontario College of Teachers for the following job:
**Private School Entrance Test Prep Tutor (Math & Language)**
- Solid understanding of language curriculum Grades 6-8
- Prepared to teach synonyms, analogies, and reading comprehension strategies
- Prepared to support student practice writing a response to many possible prompts in a timed environment

AND/OR
- Solid understanding of math curriculum Grades 6-8
- Prepared to support students with creating a glossary of mathematical vocabulary
- Solid understanding of number sense, operations, algebra, geometry
- Prepared to support student with answering word problems and multiple choice questions
- **Current Locations**:

- Royal York and Bloor Street
- Bloor Street West and Prince Edward Drive North
- Islington and Dundas Street West
- Compensation: $40-$45 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
- **Roles and Responsibilities **_
- Provide one on one tutoring in client's home (adult present in the home)
- Tutors can work from 1 - 10 hours a week.
- Tutors work according to their schedule after school from 4 - 8pm or on weekends.
- Ability to travel by TTC or car to student’s homes for in-home tutoring (20 minute commute).
- Organize and prepare relevant materials and lessons to tutor student.
- Monitor student progress and communicate progress to parent.
- Develop a positive and professional relationship with students and their families.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 4 per week
