**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling techniques at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Help with cooking tasks as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary environment.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
