Finance Specialist

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and co-ordinate the preparation of financial statements for month-end and year-end, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations
- Assist with the development of the annual budget and analyze variances between budget and actual on an as needed basis
- Assist with cost accounting including the calculation of standard costs and support new model launch product cost calculation
- Conduct cost / benefit analysis
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset functions as required

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant University degree
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment is an asset but not required
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact confidently with all levels of the organization
- Able to work well independently or in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization with high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner
