**Job description**
Looking for a talented line cook and chef Opportunity to grow and work your way up the ladder
Full-time employees receive medical and dental insurance after 3 months of work. Starting pay is $16/hr + shared tips (which evens out usually to $4-$6 extra per hour).
2 years experience in restaurant or catering food business required Knowledge of vegan and gf cooking Plant Based Lifestyle or Curiosity a MUST.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review the daily production list and set priorities
Prepare food in appropriate sequence of their order times
Retrieve appropriate recipes and gather all ingredients to prepare and assemble food
Cook food according to RFM recipes
Preparing food on the daily menu / Cooking on the line
Seitan Making & Large Scale Food Production
Helping us grow RFM
Evaluate the quality of fresh ingredients and the end product
Adhere to all sanitation standards, including those for cross-contamination of allergens, and ensure separation of items
Follow FIFO with kitchen products and ingredients in kitchen storage and in both coolers
Use open items first Ensure all perishable and shelf stable ingredients are labeled and dated
Customer Service Take in person and online orders from customers
Communicate and interact with coworkers to coordinate efforts
Culinary School is an asset
Two or more years of back-of-house, cooking, prepping, baking, or other kitchen experience preferred
Line cook experience a must.
High school / GED reading level for reading and comprehending recipes and safety standards
Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
