The Insignia hotel is a unique hotel with rich history and charm. Formerly known as the Drawbridge Inn, our hotel was initially built in the 1960’s. Throughout the history of Sarnia, the drawbridge was the place to be. Today, The Insignia Hotel is part of the Tribute Portfolio Collection, and we continue to grow and prosper with the beautiful city of Sarnia. We offer a full-service 84 room hotel with amazing amenities such as saltwater pool, dry saunas, gym, fine dining restaurant and bar. We also have a private banquet hall and drawbridge room available for business, conferences, and leisure events.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor, providing assistance with luggage and personal belongings.
- Escort guests to their rooms, ensuring they are comfortable and familiar with the hotel's amenities.
- Explain all room features and amenities to guests, ensuring they have a pleasant and comfortable stay.
- Offer recommendations and information about local attractions, restaurants, and events.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly, ensuring their needs are met in a timely manner.
- Assist with valet parking services, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized bell stand area, ensuring it is well-stocked and presentable at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Desk and Housekeeping, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Assist with other departments with duties including, but not limited to: cleaning and organizing the lobby area, assisting the front desk, assisting housekeeping, and delivering room service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the hotel's facilities, room features and amenities, services, and local area.
- Assist guests with luggage, including carrying, storing, and retrieving items as required.
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, ensuring all requests are properly documented.
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, including dress code and grooming standards.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to enhance skills and knowledge.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in English
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and local area attractions is an asset.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy luggage.
- Ability to use stairs when needed.
- Availability to work from 3pm-8pm.
