**SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, the Yard Worker is responsible for performing manual duties within the company yard. Duties include load disassembly, load securement and yard organization. This position requires accountability, dependability and initiative.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform duties locally in company yard, including load assembly and disassembly, load securement, and cargo planning
- Disassemble loads and assemble load cargo to prepare for shipment process
- Organize yard machinery, load equipment, and load cargo within company yard
- Place tires on equipment as necessary for shipment
- Keep the yard(s), building(s) and equipment neat, clean and organized
- Prepare and check paperwork regarding load requirements and details
- Assist other departments in movement of deliveries within company yard and office
- Other duties may be assigned

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Valid Class 5 driver's license required
- Proven accountability and dependability
- Strong work ethic and personal integrity
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Ability to perform repetitive duties
- Ability to work individually and in team setting

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in manual labour capacity preferred
- Previous forklift experience and/or certification is preferred

**WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL ABILITY**
- Outdoor working environment
- Ability to exert force up to 50kg
