**Reporting to**:Store Manager

**Summary of Duties**:
The Cashier will work closely with the Store Manager while maintaining a positive, supportive, and professional relationship with Lil’wat Gas Station customers and staff. The Cashier is responsible for conducting transactions and returns at Lil’wat Station.

**Key Deliverables and Expectations**:

- Greeting customers, ensuring customers have what they need
- Processing cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Ensuring tills have enough change for each shift
- Checking that the till is balanced before and after each shift
- Keeping checkout area tidy
- Working together with other cashiers, assisting them as needed
- Anticipating busy times and being ready for them
- Tallying up sales totals at the end of the day
- Assisting customers with questions and complaints
- Working with Head Cashier to ensure operations run smoothly
- Make recommendations to Head Cashier for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the store, its equipment, and other areas as appropriate
- Conduct regular safety checks of the till area
- Participating in weekly staff meetings
- Perform other related duties as requested.

**Experience and Attributes**:

- Basic knowledge of mathematics to calculate change, handle cash
- Experience processing transactions, familiar with cash handling procedures
- Can accommodate flexible work schedule (days, nights, and weekends)
- Able to spend several hours at a till - either standing or sitting
- Strong people and customer service skills
