Dundas, Canada Worksite Safety Full time

**Position: Health & Safety Advisory Services Intern**

**Employment: Contract (4-8 months at 40 hours/week)**

**Location: Dundas, ON (HQ) and various GTA locations**

**Salary: $20 - 24 per hour DOE**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Organizing internal Advisory Services information system (digital drive)
- Connecting with clients and prospective clients about our safety services
- Accompanying advisors to client site audits (as needed)
- Assisting the JHSC with site inspections and updating safety boards
- Creating Safe Work Practice templates and other new forms
- Tracking legislative changes by province (BC, AB, ON, etc.) and updating existing documents
- Assisting with the development of toolbox talks, health and safety programs and other safety resources
- Maintaining the internal repository of existing clients

**Qualifications**:

- Currently working towards a degree, diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Advanced knowledge of OHSA - knowledge of legislation in multiple provinces considered an asset
- Experience working within the construction or manufacturing industry in a health and safety capacity is preferred
- Experience managing projects and teams is preferred
- Experience in developing, implementing and auditing health and safety programs
- Enjoy working with a team but able to work independently
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and client relationship skills
