We are currently seeking a seasoned **Custom Millwork Painter Shop Manager** to lead our finishing department. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing custom finishes, stain development, and spray booth operations for demanding, design-driven clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all finishing operations: staining, spraying, top coating, and hand-finishing
- Develop and match custom finishes per architectural/design specs
- Supervise and train finishing team (sprayers, sanders, preppers)
- Maintain high-quality standards and ensure consistency across projects
- Manage schedule, workflow, and resource planning for the paint shop
- Monitor VOC compliance, safety, and spray booth maintenance
- Collaborate with production and project management teams on timelines
- Ensure detailed quality control and final finish inspections before shipment

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 7 years’ experience in high-end architectural millwork finishing
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial finishing role
- Expertise in multiple finishing systems: conversion varnish, polyurethane, glazes, high gloss, stains
- Proven ability to develop and match custom finishes (both solvent and water-based)
- Hands-on experience with spray booths and HVLP/LVLP equipment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to read shop drawings and interpret finish schedules
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required
