Unilock is an innovative leader in the manufacturing of the highest quality concrete products for the professional landscape and construction industry in North America.

We currently have an opening in our Ayr, Ontario location for a _**Plant Supervisor,**_ working a **straight day **shift. This key position within our organization will report to the Plant Manager.

In this position the incumbent is expected to take on not only a managerial/supervision type role, but also to work along with the operators on the floor as well when required

Reporting to the Assistant Manager the applicant will need/have the following responsibilities and skills
- **Responsibilities**_
- Ensure that standards of Safety, Quality, and Production are being met
- Ensure production reporting and recording is done accurately
- Reporting of safety infractions, and production issues
- Reporting on employee performance issues
- Meet or exceed production targets, without sacrificing quality
- Identify immediate and potential safety issues and take the necessary steps to correct or control them
- Check machines, perform daily, weekly, monthly operator pm’s as required
- Communicate and coordinate, with Maintenance personal, and Management staff
- Write and create work instructions
- Design and development tasks
- Daily tasks in the shop, assisting with production if needed
- Assisting with projects
- Assisting with ordering of supplies
- Assist with training employees in the future
- Inventory tracking, recording
- Assisting with Budgets
- Providing supervisory support to other plants on site
- Other related duties
- **Qualifications**_
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Written and Verbal skills
- College Diploma in a Technical Discipline or Equivalent Experience required
- 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory/foreman type role
- Proficient with Excel, Word, and Microsoft office
- Experience with AutoCad
- Project Management skills are an asset
- Artistic/woodworking background an asset
- College Diploma in a technical field an asset
- Background with chemicals an asset

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour
