Job description Summary

The primary role of the Loan Processing Specialist (LPS) will be to convert all contracts and process positive endorsements, and secure approval when required while ensuring that established service level agreements are maintained. The LPS will also responsible for the written/verbal client communication when necessary.

What You’ll Do
- Review and process loan contracts and positive endorsements within established service guidelines
- Verify and analyze client’s repayment ability, and assess risk for sensitive business sectors and policies
- Obtain approvals from credit risk team and management on high risk loans; conduct policy verifications if needed
- Update account records as needed
- Operate in compliance with internal policies and procedures

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities required:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Possess an energetic and enthusiastic approach to work and a desire to go the extra mile in customer service
- Collaborative team player, able to build relationships with team members, and internal and external clients
- Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards change and the ability to adapt to new situations
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and MS Word

Training/Education/Experience Qualifications:

- College degree and/ or 1-3 years work related experience within Insurance or Financial Services industry.
- Must be fluent in English written/verbal communication
