We are seeking an Asset Risk Strategist to join our Asset Information & Risk Department. Under the general direction of the Asset Risk Management & Monitoring Section Head, provide strategic direction and leadership to key contributors to various risk management initiatives throughout the Asset Management Division and corporation. **_ Responsibilities:_** - Leads coordination of risk mitigation actions for the HVDC system through the HVDC Risk Task Force. - Leads coordination of the technical aspects of Insurer Reviews of Manitoba Hydro's insured energy assets in collaboration - with the Insurance Strategy and Services.- Closely collaborates with Asset Information & Standards to align risk analyses, probability of failure curves, asset condition, - and performance measures with the Asset Data Dictionary.- Closely collaborates with Asset Information & Standards to understand and define asset risk, performance, and health - visualization needs.- Coordinates, plans, and ensures two-way communication for, asset performance, asset condition, and risk input needs for - Asset Class Strategy development across the Asset Management Division.- Maintains the Asset Risk Register and leveraging it to communicate risks to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and - Enterprise Risk Management and ensures coordination of risk processes.- Leads development and enhancement System Strategies and analyzing asset system performance. - As an interim measure, gathers and prepares asset information, such as developing asset information proxy data to understand the current health of our assets, to support Asset Risk Engineers in risk assessments, probability of failure curves, and other inputs for Asset Class Strategies. - Leads coordination with Asset Information & Standards to input this proxy data into the appropriate source systems. - Leads development and enhancement of corporate policies and risk standards for the alignment of risk practices and process. - Provides clear and concise risk and performance inputs to the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and Asset - Management Plan (AMP).input into action plans to meet our Asset Management Maturity targets as outlined in the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP). **_ Qualifications:_** - Four-year degree in Commerce, Economics, or other related discipline plus five years of directly related experience working with capital planning and corporate business systems. OR - Two-year diploma in Business or other related discipline plus seven years of related experience working with capital planning and corporate business systems. - MANITOBA HYDRO IS COMMITTED TO DIVERSITY AND EMPLOYMENT EQUITY Reference Code: CO56864425-01 - Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and complete complex work assignments with minimum supervision. - Knowledge of investment capital planning, project, change, or risk management processes. - Demonstrated ability in planning, analysis, reporting and documenting processes, including process mapping, improvement - methodology, data analysis, and measurement systems.- Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports, presentations, and training materials. - Demonstrated ability to recognize, investigate, and analyze problems objectively, discuss, present, and justify - recommendations.- Demonstrated ability to communicate clear and concise messaging with data. - An Institute of Asset Management Certificate in Asset Management would be considered an asset. - Familiar with the uses and functionality with current asset information software and analysis tools, such as PowerBI and - Sharepoint would be an asset.- Ability to facilitate and lead cross functional teams at various levels across the corporation. - Possess a high degree of initiative and demonstrates the ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Must obtain and maintain a current Personal Risk Assessment and a "Clear" security rating in accordance with Manitoba Hydro policy P513. **Salary Range** Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $46.06-$63.60 Hourly, $88,269.22-$121,866.94 Annually. We
