Lube Technician

**Job purpose**

Lube Technician is responsible for changing engine oils and lubricating running gears or moving parts on our trucks. This role is Monday through Thursday afternoon shift. Every weekend is a long weekend

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Lube tech will change a vehicle’s oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.
- May be required to do tire work such as inspect tires for proper inflation and wear
- Assist mechanics with basic repairs and other maintenance on trucks
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is filled in correctly
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form
- Comply with company and government safety requirements and other regulations and security
- May be required to clean the shop, paint rims, and generally maintain the appearance of the equipment.

**Qualifications**
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
- Team player with positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
- Mechanical / maintenance skills an asset
- Must be able to follow routine proceduresy to work alone with mínimal supervision or as part of a team
- Willingness to work in a mechanical shop with moderate or loud noise level
- Basic computer skills (typing, data entry)
- Should be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well you may be asked to work weekends
- Must speak English clearly and write legibly

**Working conditions**

Work mainly in our garage where vehicles are being serviced, repaired or maintained. Work with oils, petrol, greases and other chemical products which can cause skin irritation. Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions when necessary.

**Physical requirements**

Standard physical activity includes: standing; walking; squatting; kneeling; twisting; the ability to grasp with both hands; twist both wrists; use both arms to push, pull, hold, and carry items. The ability to bend, kneel, squat, climb steps into truck. They must be able to lift and move heavy tools or machinery. Work requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses and work boots.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
