**Qualifications**: - Competent oral and written English; able to read and follow detailed instruction manuals - Able to work with tight tolerances, and be familiar with machining Inconel, Stainless steel, and copper alloys. - Basic desktop computer and mathematical skills - Minimum high school or equivalent technical experience - Good manual strength and dexterity, including ability to use hand tools such as pliers, cutters, hammers, calipers, rulers, calculators, micrometers, grinder, milling machine, drill press, lathe, etc. - Ability to problem solve and prioritize workload, including supporting/creating new tools, fixtures or other solutions to improve production efficiency and solve product issues. - Interpersonal skills; trustworthy; reliable with time and attendance. - Team player; be able to work well with others. **Job Summary**: - The incumbent completes daily production, tool and fixture jobs, including machining production units. - He/she creates tools and fixtures as required for new units. - The job entails working with tight tolerances and machining mostly stainless steel, copper armatures, and specialized alloys. - He/she works with Engineering and other departments to offer hands-on assistance and design solutions to production issues, under the direction of the Production Manager. **Working Conditions**: - Clean aviation production environment. - Able to lift upto 10lbs. - No travel. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**: - Complete scheduled work in a timely and accurate manner, including directing and developing direct report/s’ capabilities - Consult with other departments to support delivery of continuous improvement efficiencies - Responsible for maintaining a clean and well organized work area - Responsible for working in a safe and healthy manner, including reporting any potential/hazards, and treating coworkers professionally and with respect - Other work as assigned from time to time by the Production Manager **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $21.00-$27.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Morning shift Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay - Overtime pay Application question(s): - Do you have experience working with tolerances as low as 0.001"? - Do you have experience working with special alloys such as Inconel 718? **Experience**: - machinist: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: One location
