**Job Summary**
**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate various grinding machines, including surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and bench grinders.
- Set up machines according to specifications, adjusting speeds, feeds, and grinding wheel angles.
- Inspect and measure finished parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform regular maintenance on grinding machines to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment, adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues with the grinding equipment and report any malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Follow blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to meet production specifications.
- Ensure that parts are ground to meet quality standards and that all necessary checks are completed.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding project progress, challenges, and deadlines.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and wear necessary protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels for grinding materials and supplies.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in machining or metalworking is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Grinder in a metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of grinding processes, tools, and machinery.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or imperfections in parts.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials as needed.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with CNC grinding machines is a plus.
- Basic understanding of welding and metalworking processes.
- Forklift or other material handling equipment certification (if required).

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions (e.g., heat or cold).
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery.

**Work Environment**:

- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and various metalworking chemicals.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots, is required at all times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.91-$22.17 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
