Shop Handyman

Originally incorporated in 1998; Rogers Electro-Mechanical has grown to become a leader in electric motor repair and sales. Servicing the mining, pulp and paper, forestry, marine and industrial sectors.

**Position Overview**

The Labourer Position is a full-time, day shift position located in Stewiacke, NS. This individual is responsible for completing all cleaning & painting tasks associated with the motor refurbishments. Some weekend and/or overtime may be required in order to meet tight deadlines. This position will require a self-motivated individual who takes pride in his/her work.

**Responsibilities**
- Sandblasting, Steam Cleaning and Painting of various motor parts and components
- Loading and Unloading bake oven on a daily basis
- Loading and Unloading Rogers Trucks with Motors and other machinery components
- Delivery duties to customers sites
- Operate Forklift in a safe manner
- Complete weekly equipment maintenance & daily inspections
- Maintaining a clean & organized work area at all times
- Supporting various tradesman on specific jobs when assistance is required

**Requirements** **High School Diploma**
- **High attention to detail**:

- **Valid Driver’s License**:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, organizational and decision-making skills
- Forklift Experience would be considered an asset
- Previous Industrial Experience would be considered an asset
- Previous Experience in a lean manufacturing process environment would be considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$22.00 per hour
