Position Overview

As the Café Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, maintaining the highest standard of customer service, and leading the FOH team with energy, organization, and positivity.

You’ll work closely with ownership and management to ensure smooth daily service, uphold quality and cleanliness standards, and mentor team members for success.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the FOH team in day-to-day café operations
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered consistently with warmth and professionalism
- Monitor floor operations, guest flow, and staff efficiency during busy hours
- Uphold cleanliness, organization, and visual standards in all FOH areas
- Support and train new team members, ensuring clear onboarding and systems are followed
- Manage the daily opening and closing duties with precision and accountability
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth communication and service
- Manage inventory and FOH supplies as needed
- Take initiative in solving problems and guest concerns swiftly and gracefully
- Monitor product quality (beverages, pastries, food) and provide feedback
- Promote a culture of positivity, collaboration, and excellence

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality setting
- Strong coffee knowledge and barista experience (specialty café experience is a major plus)
- Proven leadership qualities - ability to motivate, guide, and hold a team accountable
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with a sharp eye for detail
- A proactive mindset and ability to problem-solve on the go
- A team-first attitude - you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and support wherever needed
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends

Pay: $18.85-$24.27 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
