**Requirements**:

- Prepare the preparation and delivery of all foods.
- Review menus and production sheets before preparing meals and prepare and serve them
properly and attractively.
- Ensure the use of proper food handling techniques.
- Assist in receiving and storing incoming food and supplies.
- Participate actively in planning/preparing meals.
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure sanitation in the kitchen area, including tables, tools,
knives, and equipment. All disinfecting should follow food safety guidelines.
- Check and ensure the correct temperature of appliances and food items.
- Key community ambassador and donor steward for third-party events.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Passion for making a difference in the lives of the families we serve.
- Completion of a post-secondary culinary program; or equivalent experience.
- Experience in working with staff and/or volunteers in a commercial kitchen setting is
preferred.
- Valid Safe Food Handling Certification.
- Experience with menu planning, food ordering, and inventory management.
- Enjoys sharing and teaching others your culinary expertise.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check.
