**Position**

Money Room Staff reports directly to the Money Room supervisor. The Money Room Staff performs duties relating to cash handling, counting, and recording of Western Fair District, The Raceway Corporation and Sports Centre deposits.

**Responsibilities of the Money Room Staff**:

- Brand advocate for the District.
- Performs a variety of duties relating to the control and distribution of money for different business units of the Western Fair District, the Raceway Corporation, Sports Centre, various WFD Shows and Events and the Annual Fair.
- Counts, reconciles, and processes all cash through the money room counting process.
- Prepares cash floats with cash in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Provides assistance as required for balancing functions.
- Completes applicable documentation accurately and according to corporate policies and procedures as well as review for accuracy and proper completion of all documentation completed by others.
- Prepares computerized spreadsheets daily to record all money-handling transactions.
- Prepares daily deposits and meets Brinks for assistance with transport of deposits.
- Balances all floats including cash on hand on a daily basis.
- Orders bills/coin as necessary.
- Process and record Claims Reports for any horses claimed at Live Races
- Cash loading, counting, trouble shooting of all ATMs across the District.
- Health and Safety Act, Western Fair District Health & Safety Policy and Awareness Program/Safety Manual, all Western Fair District procedures, and any other applicable legislation.
- Other related duties as required or assigned.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must possess previous cashier, counting, or cash handling experience.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- High level of personal integrity.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to work evening shifts including weekends and holidays.
