**Global Mining Products** / **GMI Wheels** is a **Langley**, **BC**-based off-highway / mining wheel manufacturer looking for a **CNC Machinist** with **5 years**or more **work experience** to work in our machine shop producing large steel parts.

The CNC Machinist **programs** our **milling** and **turning** machines based on **technical** **drawings**, fulfilling work orders set by the Production Scheduler and Shop Manager. The Machinist is **capable of running multiple machines** and **adapts** their **workflow**to meet changing needs or timeframes.

Starting wage is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

**Job Duties**
- **Independent setup**and **operation**of **multiple** **milling**and **turning machines**.
- Finished **part inspection**to ensure dimensions and specifications match technical drawings.
- **Working effectively within timeframes** set by the Production Scheduler and Shop Manager.
- Operating in compliance with our **ISO 9001** quality management system.
- **Maintaining**work area **cleanliness**and **organization**.

**Qualifications**:

- **5 years**or more of **CNC machining experience**.
- **Ability**to **lift**up to **50 lbs**.
- Comfortable working around **large**, **heavy steel components.**:

- Ability to **work independently**with **mínimal supervision**.
- Good **listening** **skills**.
- Good **spoken**and **written English**.
- Excellent **Punctuality**and **Attendance**.

**Nice to Have**:

- Experience within a formal Quality Management System (QMS).
- Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
