To ensure smooth operation of the Hotel Front Office by assisting the Front Desk Manager, and the front line staff wherever needed. Must provide efficient and courteous service to each guest and operate according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the management team for the satisfaction of all internal and external guests. Must be willing to work all shifts; Must be able to deal calmly and professionally with the public and staff in any and all crisis situations.

**Education and Experience**:

- Hospitality Management Diploma or equivalent
- Must have minimum 2 years experience in full service hotel
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a hotel Front desk supervsiory is a Must.
- Must have basic computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet
- Micros OPERA PMS system knowledge is a MUST
- Pro-serve is required
- Able to efficiently handle front desk concerns and provide service recovery to guests.
- Knowledge of the area and surrounding attractions
- Working knowledge of reservations system to perform taking reservations, dupe checks, non-guaranteed cancellations, claimed reservations, setting the house statistics, etc
- Standard First Aid

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Work within a 24/7 operation with ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evening, nights, weekends and holidays)
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be fluent in English. Fluency in multiple languages is considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.25-$17.25 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
