**Food Safety and Quality Technician**

We are proud of our past, excited about our future and are looking for a **Full-time Food Safety and Quality Technician **to join our growing team

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Performing Pre-Operational inspections, Operational sanitation inspections and ensuring the Good Manufacturing practices and Good Product Handling Practices are being followed in the facility.
- Inspecting the final meat products for their shelf stability by conducting chemical tests on the products before packaging.
- Quality assurance of the final packaged product by checking the seals, labels, best before dates etc.
- Ensure that the goods received and shipped meet the highest food safety and quality expectations.
- On site Verification of different production and packaging activities during operations. Verification of the system in accordance with the written programs and food safety requirements.
- Communicating with the management about the deviations, non-conformances, inconsistencies, and scopes of improvements at different steps of operations.
- Oversee and lead employees for meeting the expected targets.
- Train staff on any changes to company policies or job requirement
- Resolve work-related issues and recommend solutions to improve productivity and product quality.
- Record and gather data on the trial runs of the new product.
- Work closely with operations and making sure SOPs are being followed.
- Test the current and new products for their specifications as per the customer specifications.
- Swabbing for Listeria spp_. Listeria Monocytogenes _and _Salmonella _and surface ATP swabbing of the food contact surfaces to meet the requirements of environmental monitoring program.
- Updating and Submit shift reports.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Food Manufacturing, Quality Control, supervise and lead role in a food related industry.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and employee relations.
- Leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise subordinates.
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret.
- Provide a list of all previous employers and their contact information.
