As a member of the Service team you are responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of food equipment. This position conducts scheduled/preventative and emergency/unscheduled repairs and maintenance to restaurant equipment at the customer's location and keeps accurate records of performed duties, materials and time through the work order and tablet system. Additionally, is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of materials and supplies as issued by the parts department. This position works within the Company mission to provide outstanding service to food service operators who need and value the premium equipment and service that Advantage offers.

WORK CONDITIONS
- Able to manage oneself in a multi-tasking and deadline driven environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to ensure timelines, accuracy and reporting.
- Manual dexterity and knowledge required to use computer and communication device(s).
- Strong attention to detail to complete tasks safely.
- Agility to perform work at heights using a work elevated platform or other acceptable device.
- Physically able to maneuver by crouching, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and lift weighted equipment/objects.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

- G2 TSSA licensed - minimum
- Valid G Class driver's license, clean driver's abstract record
- Fall arrest/ ladder training, WHMIS training
- First Aid training an asset
- Basic criminal record check

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Foodservice Gas Service Technician Experience
- Foodservice Refrigeration Technician Experience

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required
- Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
- Install and maintain gas meters and regulators and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter
- Install, maintain and service gas heating units and their components, such as burners, valves and automatic controls
- Test and replace defective equipment or components
- Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
- Attend to gas escape calls and assist in the investigation of gas fires and explosions
- Prepare reports on work performed and condition of facilities
- Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems
- Convert appliances to use natural gas fuels
- May repair and service gas appliances and related equipment

WAGE: To be negotiated based on experience.

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
