William P Kavanagh Is looking full time 1A driver with 53’van experience based out of Saskatoon responsible for delivering freight to various customers within Saskatchewan little bit into Alberta and Manitoba locations,by providing safe, friendly and helpful service on a timely basis Monday to Friday day shift home every night (some weekend work optional) pay is 25% of truck gross excluding fuel surcharge plus 15$ per drop/pick up (approx 70-80+k a year based on a 50-70 hour work week) plus holiday pay
Our dedicated operators are required to operate well maintained equipment, adhere to all relevant regulations and provide the exceptional customer service William P Kavanagh is renowned for. Responsibilities:
Cooperate with all customers to maintain a high level of customer service. Communicate consistently with dispatch keeping them abreast of activities, Safely operate truck and trailer point to point Perform routine checks of equipment (ours or contractors ) Complete all necessary shipping documents to ensure proper freight handling Ability to hook/unhook trailers, climb in and out of tractor, trailer,load/tie down freight
Driver to Support all Safety initiatives for the safety of all drivers, customers and other employees by following all safety policies and procedures including the incident reporting system Must have reliable Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to perform physical requirements of this type of work. (Drivers must be physically fit to handle lifting up to 100 lbs., bending, twisting, turning, cranking trailer dollies, experience with power pallet jack, and ensuring ability to properly secure loads. Long periods of sitting required while driving, climbing into truck cab or trailer multiple times per shift.) Valid Class 1A Driver’s License with air brake endorsement in good standing. Experience with all types of pickup and delivery activities. Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision. Must be comfortable driving at night and in inclement weather.
