**JOB OVERVIEW: MANAGER, CO-OPERATIVE EDUCATION**
Reporting to the Senior Director, Student Affairs, this position is responsible for the day to day administration of co-operative education programs. It is responsible for leading and growing co-operative education, the delivery of career development programming and support to Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) students and alumni.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ management experience, preferably in a post-secondary setting.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive situations with diplomacy, tact and professionalism in the delivery of information and explanations.
- Ability to liaise effectively and diplomatically with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and to advocate on behalf of the University.
- Experience developing, planning and administering projects.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to think innovatively and creatively in planning and developing a fresh approach to existing activities, with a process improvement perspective.
- Demonstrated ability in effective team management and implementing change resulting in improvement to service, staff productivity and systems efficiency.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
