Guelph, Canada Hammond Power Solutions Inc. Full time

Reporting to the Sr. People & Culture Business Partner the People & Culture Co-op Student will support the HR team in various functions, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to HR initiatives, develop professional skills, and learn about HR practices within the manufacturing industry.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:
Recruitment:

- Assist in coordinating recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling
- Lead Co-op recruiting for the winter 2025 session

Onboarding:

- Participate in new employee onboarding, including preparing orientation materials and ensuring documentation is complete

Employee Engagement:

- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, such as event planning and internal communications
- Gather feedback through surveys and help analyze results to recommend improvements

Projects and Initiatives:

- Participate in special projects, such as talent development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and process improvement
- Research and present findings on HR trends and best practices relevant to the organization

Learning & Development:

- Utilize Learning Management System (LMS) for reports to update on compliance training requirements

**Do you qualify? We are seeking**:

- Currently enrolled in a college or university co-op program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A keen interest in learning about HR processes and practices.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Student member of HRPA preferred
