**Description**

Reporting to Youth Fusion's Director of Operations, Development and Educational Programming - Indigenous Communities, the Regional Manager - Indigenous Communities will coordinate the delivery of daily programs for Indigenous youth in a variety of areas. He/she will be responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, managing logistics, planning events and carrying out projects under his/her supervision.

The responsibilities of the Regional Manager - Indigenous Communities will be:
**Recruitment and supervision**
- In collaboration with the human resources department, supervise and participate in the recruitment and training process for project coordinators, facilitators and project managers for all programs in Indigenous communities;
- Provide ongoing support and supervision to project managers, coordinators and facilitators under his/her supervision to ensure their well-being and that they achieve program objectives;
- Build and maintain relationships with school teams and local partners;
- Develop and maintain a network of local mentors in the communities;
- Develop and maintain all regional partnerships;
- Travel to Indigenous communities to train project coordinators in September and January;
- Carry out mid-term visits, up to twice a year, six weeks (6) after the start of projects.

**Logistics**
- Support project managers in the logistics of their projects;
- Ensure safety at the coordinators' workplace, including accommodation and school;
- Coordinate all supervisors' flights to visit indigenous communities;
- In collaboration with project managers, coordinate flights for coordinators and project managers for their training and stay in Indigenous communities;
- Ensure that the coordinators' place of residence is functional and available, and keep track of the various accounts (telephone, Internet, etc.);
- Evaluate material needs in coordinators' residences, and materials for school projects;
- Coordinate all material orders and deliveries;
- Hold and report on Youth Fusion credit cards;
- Approve Amazon Enterprise account expenses.

**Administration**
- In collaboration with the Director of Operations, Educational Development and Programming - Indigenous Communities, review mid-term and final reports received from project coordinators;
- Process and approve coordinators' time sheets, project expenses and living expenses;
- Oversee the completion of annual evaluations and surveys of coordinators.

**Events**
- In collaboration with the events team, help organize local and regional events and scientific and cultural trips for youth participating in Youth Fusion's regional activities, such as the Pigunnaniq Festival, the Festival Éducation du Futur, the Festival de Robotique, the Leadership Camps and the Leadership Conference (depending on the region);
- Be the main organizer of the two training sessions offered to project coordinators in September and January.

**REQUIREMENTS**

**Education**:

- University degree in management, education or another related field.

**Experience**:

- At least three years' experience in project management and employee supervision;
- At least three years' experience working with Indigenous communities and individuals;
- Knowledge of the cultures and traditions of one or more Indigenous Nations (including one or two regions where Youth Fusion offers its programs - Nunavik and Eeyou Istchee).

**Technical knowledge**:

- PC environment;
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office 365 suite.

**Skills**:

- Bonnes connaissances de l’environnement scolaire;
- Good knowledge of the school environment;
- Ability to solve problems, take initiative and work independently;
- Excellent organizational skills and professionalism;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with internal and external partners;
- Event planning and project management.

**Languages**:

- French written and spoken;
- English written and spoken;
- Knowledge of Inuktitut, Cree, Innu-aimun, Mi'gmaq, Kanien'kéha (an asset)

**Autres**:

- Ability to travel to Northern Quebec four (4) to six (6) times a year for a period of two (2) to three (3) weeks.
