**Job description**

New Format Studio is a decorative metalworking studio - think welding shop with an eye for design.

We are hiring for a Studio Fabricator/Metalworker. The successful applicant will be hardworking, enthusiastic, willing to learn and interested in creating high quality work in a creative environment.

The expectations of the Studio Fabricator are:

3) Create quality - New Format Studio aims to have our work reflect genuine craftsmanship, both in the product and its delivery

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- reading the drawings, and understanding the expectations for the project
- fabricating the product - MIG and TIG welding, fitting, bending, forming, grinding, and other fabrication techniques. We are looking for a fabricator comfortable working with steel.
- working solo or in collaboration with other team members as necessary to create efficient workflow
- preparing the product for finishing - conducting quality control based on the established expectations

**Qualifications and Skills**

Good knowledge of metalworking & how to fabricate components and structures from it

Good knowledge of hand and power tools

Welding experience - we primarily use TIG welding with MIG welding as a second option

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
