Stuart Olson is searching for a Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician local to the Red Deer area to join us with an immediate start date lasting approximately 4 to 6 weeks, with opportunity to transfer to other projects after completion.

**Responsibilities**
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair transmitters, switches, and control valves.
- Calibrate and adjust set points on a variety of different instruments.
- Coordinate with control room to stroke and function test valves and dampers.
- Install and trouble tubing and air actuated instruments.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.
- Repair faulty equipment or systems.
- Understand and practice company policies and procedures.
- Maintain safe work practices.
- Other duties as requested by the Supervisor.

**Qualifications**
- Must be a certified Journeyperson
- Experience working maintenance in an operating Petro Chemical facility
- CSTS 2020
- Fall Protection (preferred not mandatory)
- Compliance to client site Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing

**Working Conditions**
- Working at heights
- Working in a confined space
- Working in and around noise and dust
- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
- Must be clean shaven
- Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots,

**Physical Requirements**
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
