Credit Analyst

**Job Title**:Credit Analyst

**Job Location: Markham, ON**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform thorough credit risk assessments on credit proposals by reviewing the credit analysis conducted by account managers and completing an independent due diligence report on the financial and operating information related to borrowers and industries ;
- Perform risk rating assessment using established risk rating methodology and professional judgement;
- Review and test covenants, margin and financial ratio requirements and promptly report out of order or non-compliant situations of assigned accounts;
- Oversee and monitor the overall credit quality of assigned portfolio by conducting in-depth credit analysis / reviews on a timely basis and proposing effective remedy actions when early warning signal arises;
- Maintain the Bank’s credit system and risk rating system as per credit review results;
- Provide guidance to account managers with regard to credit policies and products;
- Conduct the Bank’s periodic update / enhancement on Credit policies and procedures;
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.

**Job Specification**
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Math, Statistics, Finance or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in Finance, Risk or related field
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access.
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong communication skills, able to clearly communicate high level technical concepts with various stakeholders.
- Self-starter who is highly focused and driven to achieve targets.

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Finance/ Risk: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- Mandarin (preferred)
