**The Role**:
As an MEP Equipment Procurement, Purchasing, and Logistics Agent, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, acquiring, and managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) equipment for new and existing data center building constructions. This role demands a thorough understanding of MEP systems and a proven track record in procurement and logistics within the industrial construction sector. Experience in managing procurement projects with budgets between 10M-300M$ will be highly regarded.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage the entire procurement process for MEP equipment, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and timelines.
- Coordinate with design engineers and project managers to align procurement with project specifications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors, negotiating contracts and managing bids.
- Ensure compliance with various codes and standards relevant to MEP equipment by following equipment review processes with the internal design teams.
- Liaise with shipping, transportation, and logistics companies to arrange transport nationally and internationally.
- Prepare and present procurement reports, bill of materials (BOMs) to stakeholders and project managers for budget and lead time tracking.
- Other responsibilities related to procurement and logistics as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Strong familiarity with IEEE, CBC, RBQ, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Membership in OIQ, PEO, or other Canadian Engineering organizations is preferred.
- ASP Construction Safety Certification or willingness to undergo training.
- Ability to obtain Reliability Status Clearance with the Federal Government.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Travel Requirements**:
Occasional travel to Israel, USA, and EU may be required to visit suppliers and factories and trade shows.
