Ottawa's Protak Consulting Group Inc. is seeking a bilingual Official Languages Officer with 6+ months of experience conducting administrative investigations for a government contract opportunity.

**Description of Role/Responsibilities**:
The contract is for investigative services regarding complaints related to alleged violation of the Official Languages Act. The investigations must be conducted in accordance to set standards of objectivity, impartiality and confidentiality. The purpose of this contract is to provide more flexibility to the department in handling investigation case files when faced with a shortage of personnel.

The investigations will be conducted, as appropriate, under the department's formal investigation process or under its facilitated resolution process. While the facilitated resolution process aims to resolve a complaint quickly and achieve lasting results for the complainant, the goal of the formal investigation process is to determine the merits or not of the complaint and includes the preparation of an investigation report that may contain recommendations.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- administrative investigations: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- both French and English fluently (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Secret level security clearance (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Gatineau, QC
