Pt Team Lead

The Personal Trainer Team Leads are fitness and health enthusiasts who are inspired to share their technical knowledge with their clients and other trainers in an effective, safe, and progressive style. They have a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and psychology. They have communication superpowers as they quickly create rapport and prescribe appropriate and effective health and training program solutions to help our members achieve their fitness goals.

They are well versed in the various needs of clients from weight loss, strength and conditioning, injury rehabilitation and overall health and wellness. They maintain a welcoming presence within the club by being friendly and approachable with all members and guests. While with clients, they remain focused, ensure proper posture and technique and are enthusiastic.

These exuberant fitness professionals have technical training in the fitness and health industry and are zealous about promoting health and wellness within the community. They are organized, attentive to detail and motivational. **As a Personal Training Team Lead, a typical day might include the following**:

- Onboarding new Personal Trainers and Fitness Planners ensuring they are fully equipped and set up for success from the start.
- Lead by example A Personal Training Team Lead is someone who believes in the powers of proper exercise principles and practices what they preach
- Weekly education, skill development, and business development coaching with the Personal Trainers chosen by the Personal Training Manager.
- Assist Personal Training Manager as needed with any customer service, admin, organizational needs
- Client check-ins - ensure clients have the appropriate training schedule and are motivated to adhere to the Personal Training prescription.
- Assist Personal Training Manager as needed with any customer service, admin, organizational needs
- Use department budget to build and manage each personal trainer’s schedule while ensuring revenue targets achieved.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all club operations and services and suggest enhancements to process that could help increase facility revenue and profitability.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by “pitching in” whenever needed. Example - helping to clean the change room area
- Preparing and designing a program for a new client
- Completing a demonstration session with a prospective client
- Meeting with a client to complete renewal documentation
- Meeting with client to review food journal, sleep habits, progress of fitness (measurements etc.)
- Conducting personal training sessions, ensuring proper technique, counting reps, journaling all relevant data
- Updating and maintaining accurate records in customer relations management software

***To land this role you need to have**:

- Post-secondary education relating to the health and fitness industry is considered an asset
- Recognized Personal Training Certification
- Additional certification relating to fitness, health, and nutrition
- 1+ years of experience in a personal training role is advantageous
- Experience in the health and fitness industry preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (required to have a minimum of Emergency First Aid
