General Manager - Trucking Operations

**Location**: Vaudreuil-Soulanges

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **1) Operational Leadership**:_
- Lead and supervise all aspects of daily trucking operations.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to ensure the achievement of operational goals and targets.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

**2) Dispatch Management**:

- Hands-on involvement in dispatching activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective routing of trucks.
- Monitor and adjust routes in response to changing conditions or unexpected events.
- Work closely with dispatch teams to optimize schedules and maximize resource utilization.
- **3) Fleet Management**:_
- Oversee the maintenance and compliance of the trucking fleet.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure that all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- **4) Financial Management**:_
- Work closely with the finance department to manage budgets and control costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to make informed decisions.
- **5) Team Leadership**:_
- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide training, support, and mentorship to staff members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- **6) Customer Relationship Management**:_
- Meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Address customer concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a managerial role within the trucking industry.
- University degree, preferably in business management or logistics. (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills, including mastery of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively across all areas of a business is vital.
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing personnel groups and large projects or initiatives.
- Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and an excellent diverse workplace in a fast-paced seasonal environment.
