**Summary**

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Relief Worker to join our team at Access Community Services Inc. This role is vital in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met while promoting their independence and well-being. The Relief Worker is a casual position with no guaranteed hours of work.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in activities of daily living.
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Support clients in personal care tasks, including hygiene and grooming.
- Facilitate social interactions and community engagement for clients.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop individualized care plans.
- Advocate on persons behalf with community professionals
- Transport people in the community in an agency provided vehicle
- Access is a unionized environment

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with persons with disabilities is essential.
- Strong skills in communication, documentation and care of individuals.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary requirements.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with supported individuals.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Standard First Aid/CPR-Level A required
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred
- Valid G drivers license with a clean drivers abstract required
- Proof of COVID vaccines (2 doses)

Pay: From $24.76 per hour

**Experience**:

- DSW, SSW or PSW: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
